The Seal Pups are here!
This is an exciting time to visit Loch Coruisk... The little seal pups are being born! It is lovely to see all the little bundles of seal lying around on the rocks. There is a little island we pass on our way through to Loch Coruisk which is used by the mother seals as a 'maternity island'. They tend to go there for a few days during the middle of June (ussualy in the same week of every year - they are very regular!) and give birth to their pups on that island. After a few days they return to their ussual little islands and ressume their rather relaxed lifestyle!
